The Environmental Impact of Traditional Shipping Mailers
Traditional shipping mailers, often made from virgin plastic, contribute to pollution, energy consumption, and carbon emissions. Their long decomposition period harms wildlife and clogs landfills.
Our New Eco-Friendly Shipping Mailers
To combat this, we’ve adopted shipping mailers crafted from recycled materials. Using 100% recycled paper reduces the need for virgin paper, saving trees, water, and energy. The bubbles inside contain 10% recycled plastic, lessening the environmental impact of new plastic production.
Quantifying the Impact
This switch saves approximately 76,000 pounds (38 tons) of plastic annually, equivalent to the weight of six adult elephants. By reducing virgin plastic use, we help decrease fossil fuel demand, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and tackle plastic pollution.
Why Recycled Paper and Plastic?
Recycled paper uses less water and energy and produces fewer greenhouse gases. Similarly, recycled plastic in our bubble wrap reduces the need for new plastic and repurposes materials that could end up as waste.
